Fine Arts
I used to draw since the age of four but my formal education began only in 2016,
when I got the opportunity to study a semester at one of America's oldest art schools—the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Boston. Below are some of my abstract experiments on the water using acrylics on canvas.
After completing my academic obligations, I decided to practice oil painting by making something for our home. The inspiration stemmed from Canadian photographer Gregory Colbert's movie Ashes and Snow, and translated as this on a 4ft square canvas.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, it was a difficult and anxiety-inducing phase. I was only trying to keep my head afloat and wanted to capture the feeling in a portrait, also to practice painting without grids.

To explore other mediums, I also combined watercolour painting and soft pastels.

At MassArt, I also attended a class in sculpture for the first time under the guidance of Charles Stigliano. He taught us the facial anatomy and trained us through the process of working with the materials and tools in sculpture-making. Photographs below are some of my live model studies.
